If if's were truths and not possibilities then what a wonderful thing that might be.
If only people cared a little more then maybe these wars wouldn't be the answer to everything.
If only we tried a little harder peace and properity wouldn't be words that politicians wave about casually for votes.
If we just put a little more effort forth maybe there'd be a place for everyone to call home.
If only we weren't blinded by greed we could see those struggling for a dime.
If people would just stop being cowards and stand for whats right, maybe just maybe we wouldn't use the word "hero" to describe someone who won a football game.
Perhaps if we just smiled a little more, laughed a little longer and truly loved with our hearts instead of our loins we could ease the pain of the lost, the lonely and those who have never had someone to love.
If laws were something people actually abided by, instead of something we try to bend & break, just think of the lives that could've been saved from drunk drivers, bank robbers, mass murderers.
If the penalties for crime were truly harsh, instead of slaps on the wrists, perhaps only the desperate and not the dareing, would be the only criminals.
If we just stopped hideing behind masks and shared our trueselves with each other maybe there would be no need for lies.
